Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup Round One tie against Harrogate Town has been postponed.
It is due to positive cases of COVID-19 being identified within Harrogate Town's squad. A number of individuals are unable to play or train due to either a positive test or the requirement to self-isolate in line with Government and EFL guidance.
As a result, Harrogate’s next three fixtures will not take place as scheduled. The games affected are:
10th August – Harrogate Town v Rochdale – Carabao Cup Round One;
14th August – Crawley Town v Harrogate Town;
17th August – Leyton Orient v Harrogate Town.
Following discussions with Harrogate, the League has agreed to their request to rearrange the League fixtures with all parties now to mutually find alternative dates which will confirmed in due course.
In respect of rescheduling the Carabao Cup game against Dale, the League will consider any proposal put forward by Harrogate, as, under the rules, if a fixture is not able to be rearranged ahead of the following round, then a Club would have to forfeit the tie.
All Rochdale players and backroom staff have been tested today and returned negative test results. Further testing will take place this week as a precaution.
