The renovations of the Crown Oil Arena pitch are now almost complete after months of works.
Following our last update, the stitching of the plastic fibres into the surface has been completed, thanks to contractors SISGrass, who have worked 24 hours a day to ensure completion in good time.
The groundstaff will now mow the surface as often as possible, as well as applying products that will grow the roots down, and applying more seed due to the vigorous activity that has taken place.
Once back allowed in the stadium, supporters will also notice an artificial surface has been installed around the perimeter of the pitch.
New goalposts, flags and nets have arrived which will be in place in time for the new season.
