The Youth Team were 4-1 winners over Tranmere Rovers in the EFL Youth Alliance League last weekend.
Despite trailing 1-0 at half-time, Dale came out all guns blazing after the break and secured an emphatic victory.
The visitors started well and saw a header loop on to the top of the crossbar early on, but it was Dale who dominated the opening period, seeing a shot cleared off the line and creating a number of chances.
However, Tranmere took the lead through a calmly taken spot kick a minute before the break to open the scoring.
Luke Nock levelled seven minutes after the restarting, stooping to nod in a free-kick from the left channel.
Dale took the lead through Joe Wright’s well-struck effort from 20-yards, which nestled in the bottom corner.
Adam Cullen added a third on the hour mark, controlling a long ball forward before driving across the edge of the area and finishing low into the far corner.
He then doubled his tally and netted Dale’s fourth, rounding off a superb passing move with a back-post tap-in.
Dale XI | Kelly, Chorlton, Kinsella, Nock, D’Souza, Kershaw, Clarkson, Mialkowski, Scanlon, Cullen, Wright.
