The Youth Team were 2-1 winners over Oldham Athletic in the EFL Youth Alliance League on Saturday.
Dale began strongly, seeing claims for a penalty waved away and a fierce strike from ? tipped over the bar.
Peter Thomas opened the scoring in the 32nd minute when he calmly controlled a pass from Chorlton at the near post and finished.
Thomas then saw a header from Chorlton’s cross tipped over the bar, before heading wide from the resulting corner.
Ben Chalton made a fine diving save to his right to deny an effort from distance from the hosts, before Dale doubled the lead just after the hour mark.
Joe Wright showed quick feet to get past his marker inside the area before finishing high past the goalkeeper.
The hosts scored a consolation goal with the last action of the game, heading home a wide free-kick at the near post.
