Rochdale AFC Ladies picked up a hard-fought 4-3 win over Chorley Women Reserves on Sunday.
Dale started well with some tremendous passing moves creating multiple chances.
It wasn’t long before Gabby Encarnacion opened the scoring with a clean finish, before she finished off a move down the wing to score her second.
Encarnacion completed her hat-trick before the break, when Kendall Charlton’s floated pass found her, allowing her to place the ball into the back of the net.
Chorley fought back in the second period and scored three quick goals to level the game up with quarter of an hour to play.
It was a hard-fought finish to the game, but Dale sneaked all three points when Kay Higgins raced into the area and scored the winning goal.
The win means Dale have taken four points from their opening two games, following a 1-1 draw with Mossley AFC Ladies last weekend. It means they currently sit second in the table, two points off leaders Boltonians Ladies.
