Dale have been drawn at home to Chesterfield in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup.
The tie will take place at the Crown Oil Arena on the weekend of Saturday 7th November.
Chesterfield were penalty shootout winners away to Stockport County in the fourth qualifying round at the weekend.
Dale reached the third round of the competition last season, earning a replay against Premier League Newcastle United after a 1-1 draw at the Crown Oil Arena.
