Five days, 40 tours, 147 people.
We would like to thank everyone who came along and got involved in one of our Halloween Tours last week. They proved to be a huge hit!
147 people across five days came through the doors at the Crown Oil Arena and enjoyed our ‘Dare To Be Scared’ event in our Covid secure environment.
Guided by the Dark Hatter, those who attended were taken on a tour through the Stadium, including the visiting the dressing room, kit room and the secret cells, and met some of our scare team along the way!
We were also delighted to welcome looked after children and their fosters families from Olive Branch Fostering on a couple of tours during the week, as we wanted to give something back to the local community.
Dark Hatter and host, Dave Sweetmore, commented: “The week exceeded all expectations. It’s the first time we’ve ever done anything like this and we were blown away by the demand. Originally we had planned 20 tours, but such was the demand for the event, we ended up doubling the number of tours we put on.
“A mixture of Rochdale fans and non-Dale fans booked on the tours and we made a lot of new friends throughout the week. The publicity we got, especially the excellent feature on Granada Reports, was superb and shone a positive light on the Club. We also got some brilliant feedback from the families who took part.
“I’m extremely proud to have been a part of it.”
