Loan Watch | Fabio Tavares Makes Curzon Debut

2 March 2020

Fabio Tavares made his debut for Curzon Ashton on Saturday, with the National League North side suffering late heartbreak against York City.

Tavares was called from the bench on the hour mark and had a big hand to play in Curzon's opener.

The young attacker set himself up on the counter, with his shot parried by the York 'keeper to George Boadbent to give them the lead in the 74th minute.

But there was late agony as York grabbed a 92nd minute equaliser to share the spoils at Bootham Crescent.

Harrison Hopper and Lewis Bradley both started for Colne FC in their 2-2 draw with Dunston UTS FC.

Brad Wade's Guiesley were due to play Kidderminster Harriers away from home, though the match was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Similarly, Adam Cullen's Ashton Athletic had their match against Winsford called off for the same reason.
