Rochdale AFC can confirm that as of 5pm this evening (Monday 23rd March), the Crown Oil Arena will be closed fully.
The Club are supporting efforts to tackle the COVID-19 outbreak, with the premises closed to all staff.
The main office number will continue to be manned by a member of staff during usual opening hours, with calls being redirected to a phone away from the stadium.
Further to that, our online shop will remain open 24/7, with products to be sent for delivery on a once-weekly basis by a single member of staff to enable social distancing.
Unfortunately, we have had to cancel our offer of help to those isolated members of the local community.
The ongoing situation is a fluid one and by doing this we are following the very latest government advice as well as being a responsible employer. We have also seen the government’s introduction of initiatives for the elderly and vulnerable, which we urge people to take advantage of.
We will of course provide updates to the Club’s situation in due course. For now, everyone at Rochdale AFC hopes you stay safe and continue to look after yourselves during this difficult time.
