The Youth Team were beaten 4-0 at Walsall in the EFL Youth Alliance League on Tuesday.
Luke Zona gave the hosts the lead when he nodded at the far post, after a Saddlers corner into the area had been nodded back across goal.
Oliver Patrick had an effort well saved at the near post for Dale, whilst Morgan Moreland fired over from inside the area after being found by Patrick.
Walsall doubled the lead when Jayden Campbell’s cross was turned into the net by a Dale defender, and the hosts added a third Alex McSkeane broke down the right and crossed for Luke Pearce to head home.
McSkeane made it 4-0 by half-time, curling in an effort from just outside the area.
Dale created chances after the break but couldn’t find a route to goal.
