TVOS Preview | Bolton Wanderers (H)

10 January 2020

Rochdale AFC’s matchday programme – The Voice of Spotland – is back for Saturday’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Bolton Wanderers.

The programme starts with a front cover image of Aaron Wilbraham, a former Bolton striker who is currently the toast of Rochdale after his FA Cup equaliser against Newcastle last Saturday.

Manager Brian Barry-Murphy previews the afternoon’s game and discusses how he believes his squad is now returning to fitness and form after a difficult early winter period.

After that the programme is packed with features, including:

MY TEAM-MATES – Aaron Morley reveals which of his team-mates is the last to buy a round

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO? – Back to a time in football when you had to wait until the early hours of Tuesday morning to see Dale’s goals on TV

ROOM 101 – Rhys Norrington-Davies tells us his pet hates

BACK OF THE NET – a whole-season article focusing on the exploits of Dale’s top 25 goalscorers of all-time, this time with 1960s forward George Morton

Traveller’s Tales reports on the trip to Rotherham and we have action photos from the games against Coventry and Wrexham.

Our regular historical pages – ‘On This Day’ and ‘Through The Years’ – will help readers to jog their Dale memory banks, while regular contributors Scrutator, Brian Quigley, Steven Rittey and John Rowe are back with their thought-provoking and informative columns.

Visitors Bolton Wanderers receive extensive coverage, including a look at three previous meetings from the angle of the kits worn by both teams.

All this and much, much more will be in Saturday’s The Voice of Spotland, on sale in the Club Shop and around the ground, priced £3.00.
