Dale Esports To Kick Off Inaugural Official VPG English League

20 January 2020

Dale’s official Esports team will take part in the inaugural Official VPG English Partnered Pro Clubs League, which begins on Monday 20th January.

The League consists of ten teams that all have official links to EFL Clubs, with Dale invited to take part alongside Bradford City, Northampton Town, Oxford United, Port Vale, QPR, Rotherham United, Scunthorpe United, Southend United and Tranmere Rovers.

However, Dale stand apart from the competition. A key component of the team’s structure is to remain exclusive to Rochdale fans only.

This hasn’t stopped the team being competitive either, with their quest for promotion from League 4 North, another official VPG league the team take part in, beginning last week with three wins from three.

Dale Esports manager Rhys Wolstenholme said: “To be associated with the Club officially is amazing and creates fantastic opportunities like this. We’re really excited to be a part of this league.

“We’re a small fish in the huge Esport ocean at the moment, but in true Dale spirit, we are going to be giving it our all.”

The team are always looking for more Dale fans to join in too.

Competitive games are played on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings (with games move where they clash with Dale fixtures). There is a casual element too, with non-competitive sessions being played on Sundays.

More details can be found on the Dale Esports social media channels. You can keep up to date and contact them through Twitter @DaleEsports, Facebook through the Dale Esports page, or email via rafcesports@gmail.com. All games are streamed live on YouTube also and all support is welcomed.

Good luck, Dale Esports!
