The Club would like to provide an update on the Crown Oil Arena pitch ahead of Saturday’s game against Tranmere Rovers.
At this moment in time (Friday lunchtime), the surface is playable.
However, there is concern over the forecast arrival of Storm Dennis during Saturday.
The Club have been in contact with the match referee and with Tranmere Rovers to ensure that everybody is aware of the predicted conditions.
Arrangements are in place for the match referee Anthony Backhouse to be updated, as necessary, today and early tomorrow and he will be inspecting the pitch when he arrives.
We will provide supporters with an update as soon as possible following any inspection.
