Goalkeeper Brad Wade kept a clean sheet on his debut for Guiseley AFC on Saturday.
The Dale Academy graduate joined The Lions on a month’s loan on transfer deadline day, in time for their Vanarama National League North game away to Darlington.
They ran out impressive 3-0 winners, thanks to Hamza Bencherif and a brace from Aram Soleman.
Wade had a relatively quiet afternoon but drew praise from Guiseley boss Marcus Bignot.
“I was delighted with him,” said Bignot speaking to the Guiseley AFC official website.
“He had a one-on-one where he came out and made himself absolutely massive. That was the only action he had to be called upon in terms of keeping the ball out of the net.
“Other than that, he had to keep his concentration. We’re really big here in terms of the goalkeepers in our possession and build-up, and I thought he was excellent with the ball at his feet.
“He can be delighted.”
Guiseley’s next game sees them take on AFC Telford at home on Saturday 8th February.
