Abuse, Discrimination & Anti-Social Behaviour Unacceptable At The Crown Oil Arena

22 February 2020

Following several reports of foul and abusive language being used in the stands, Rochdale Football Club would like to remind supporters that use of such language is not only unacceptable, it is specifically mentioned in the EFL Ground Regulations and will not be tolerated within the Crown Oil Arena.

Our Club prides itself on delivering a family-friendly matchday experience for all supporters and promotes equal opportunities for everybody irrespective of people’s faith, gender, race, nationality, sexual orientation or disability.

However, language reported recently around the Stadium and particularly in areas of the Smith Metals Family Street stand and around the ground undermines this message.

Supporters are asked and reminded to report such language when heard to your nearest steward.

There is absolutely no place for abuse, discrimination or anti-social behaviour at The Crown Oil Arena and supporters found responsible for such behaviour risk arrest, removal from the stadium and potentially a stadium ban.
