Dale Lotto Members help raise five thousand pounds for the Rochdale AFC Academy and the Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal…
Thanks to the generosity of our Dale Lotto members, £4,500 has been raised for the Rochdale AFC Academy and a further £500 for the Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal.
In addition, the Dale Lotto has paid out over £12,350 in prize money during the same period!
Chief Executive David Bottomley said: “We are delighted that our Lottery, since restarting, in its first quarter has raised £5,000 towards our Academy and the Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal.
"It has been a difficult transition for our Lottery to move from door to door collections to a wholly online operation but thanks to our hard working staff, loyal members and supporters we have made a fantastic start. The funds raised will make a huge difference to both the Academy and our Charity Partner.
"We have also paid out a significant amount in prize money so benefiting our members too.”
Manager Brian Barry-Murphy was on hand to present a cheque to Charity Ambassador Barry Kilby who was delighted to receive the donation.
Barry said: “Prostate Cancer is something close to my heart having experienced and recovered from the disease myself. The BKPCA supports men with prostate cancer and also raises awareness and encourages men to get tested. I would like to thank Rochdale AFC and the Dale Lotto for the generous donation.”
Members of Dale Lotto are also reminded there will be a special £5,000 Christmas Draw taking place on week 52 of the draw (4th January 2021). Make sure you are a member to be in with a chance of winning the five grand!
