Preview | Manchester United (A) - Carabao Cup Round Three

25 September 2019

Manchester United v Rochdale | Old Trafford, Carabao Cup Round Three, Wednesday 25th September 2019, 8pm Kick-Off

Dale make the journey to giants Manchester United in round three of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

It will be only the second time in history that the sides have met, with the last meeting coming in January 1986 in the third round of the FA Cup.

It is Dale’s first appearance in round three for eight years, having beaten Bolton Wanderers and Carlisle United to reach this stage.

Manchester United, due to European commitments, enter at this stage. They have won this competition five times in their history, the most recent coming in 2017.
