Rochdale Football Club is delighted to announce that Luke Matheson has been called up to the England Under-18s squad.
The full-back, who turned 17-years-old on Thursday, is part of a squad that will play international matches against Poland, Slovakia and Austria away from home.
It is Matheson’s second international call-up, after he featured for England Under-17s in February earlier this year.
Having been with the Rochdale Academy since the age of nine, Matheson made his first-team debut aged just 15, becoming the Club’s youngster ever player at that time.
He has made 15 appearances for the Club, scoring his first goal against Manchester United at Old Trafford last week.
