Tuesday night’s match against Ipswich Town at the Crown Oil Arena is our official game of Remembrance.
Rochdale AFC wishes to pay tribute to those servicemen, women and former players who have fallen, as part of the 2019 Remembrance commemorations.
Veterans and Fusiliers will line the pitch in an Act of Remembrance, a poppy wreath will be laid onto the pitch and the Armed Forces Chaplin will give a short prayer. This will be followed by a minute’s silence before kick-off, to remember all who have served, sacrificed and changed our world.
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old, age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, We will remember them."
