Ethan Ebanks Landell has returned to his parent club to be assessed, after sustaining an injury to his quad on Monday.
An initial scan has shown that the problem is worse than first thought and he will now spend time on the sidelines.
“Ethan’s injury occurred yesterday [Monday], said Brian Barry-Murphy in his post-match interview following Oxford United game.
“We were doing a light session with today’s game coming so quickly after Saturday and he hurt his quad.
“It was innocuous, but the scan has shown that it is slightly more serious than we thought. They’ve initially said that he’ll miss 3-4 weeks but it could be longer – I don’t for certain at this moment in time. He’ll go back to Wolves to be assessed because he’s not our player.
“He’s a big miss for us. He’s a very popular player in the dressing room and a great guy.”
