Ahead of Tuesday’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Oxford United, we take a look back at a previous meeting at the Crown Oil Arena between the two sides.
Dale were 3-0 winners over the U’s on Saturday 1st March 2014, thanks to a Scott Hogan hat-trick, albeit with a little help from Peter Vincenti.
Hogan claimed a touch on the line from a Vincenti header, which was destined for the back of the net, to open the scoring on half-time.
Five minutes after the break, he took on a number of men before beating the goalkeeper to add a second, and netted his third on the turn from eight-yards shortly after the hour mark to claim the three points for Rochdale, moving them to within a point of top spot in the Sky Bet League Two table.
