The Club has invested in an inflatable dome type cover that will stay at the Crown Oil Arena for the next few days.
Having arrived on Friday morning, the pitch is fully covered and the dome is due to be inflated later. The cover will remain on site until after Tuesday’s game against Oxford United.
We are pleased to report that the pitch is dry and it is playable. It has benefited from Thursday’s dry weather, coupled with the cover being installed before the rain the started on Friday.
Having looked at the weather forecast – with heavy rain scheduled throughout this afternoon, during the night and tomorrow morning – the Club has acted swiftly to ensure that Saturday’s match against Shrewsbury Town and the game against the U’s a few days later go ahead.
Come and get behind Brian Barry-Murphy, Tony Ellis, Lee Riley and the players!
