Andy Lonergan's emergency loan deal has been renewed for a further week.
The on-loan stopper has made six appearances for Dale so far, following his arrival from Middlesbrough last month.
He will be available for this weekend's game at Accrington Stanley.
First Team Coach Brian Barry-Murphy has praised the experiened stopper.
"I think the clean sheet on Tuesday night was as much a reward for him as it was for the rest of the lads," said Barry-Murphy.
"The guys in the dressing room felt as though they’d overburdened him in the games previously and let him down.
"He made some good saves the other night to ensure we got the clean sheet, but that’s what he does on a regular basis.
"It was a fitting reward for him and we’re very grateful to have him here."
