Hyde United v Rochdale | Tuesday 30th July 2019, 7.45pm KO
Manager Brian Barry-Murphy has confirmed that a very youthful Dale side will line-up against Hyde United this Tuesday evening, when the two teams meet in a pre-season friendly at Ewen Fields.
The starting XI will feature Youth Team scholars and young professionals.
The line-up is as follows: Wade, Matheson, Kinsella, Lee, Dunne, Clarkson, Chorlton, Gillam, Moreland, Bradley and Tavares.
The match is being played in tribute to Mark Worthington, who sadly passed away in April.
Mark, who was the Tigers’ Chief Executive, was a friend of Rochdale Football Club and had worked in partnership with our Academy for many years, helping Tony Ellis set-up our Elite Development Squads and had continued to assist with the running of those. He was also driving force for youth football and education within the Academy environment at Hyde United and the link with Rochdale is one he'd forged to great effect over recent years.
Mark’s family and close friends will be in attendance on the evening.
Dale fans can pay on the night.
