On Saturday, more than 300 people gathered for the annual 'Our Big Day' event in Rochdale, and The Dale in the Community Sports Trust were in attendance to represent the Club.
Organised by Rochdale Council, the day celebrates the wonderful achievements of the Borough's cared for children and their carers.
Desmond the Dragon was also there, as was Director Tony Pockney, with the pair overseeing the Community Trust’s fun penalty shootouts!
Keith Hicks, Head of Dale in the Community Sports Trust, commented: “We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Rochdale Council for inviting us to the event.
“We had such a brilliant day meeting all the amazing children and their carers.
“We were blown away by the motivational speech, delivered by Lemn Sissay MBE, and were honoured to be given the chance to watch the Awards Ceremony.
“We are already looking forward to next year!”
