Brian Barry-Murphy Looks Ahead To Huddersfield Town Friendly

16 July 2019

Brian Barry-Murphy says he and his players are relishing the chance to play in front of the Rochdale supporters again on Wednesday night.

Dale welcome Huddersfield Town to the Crown Oil Arena for the first of two home pre-season friendlies.

“The players will be very excited to go and play in front of our supporters again, after our end to last season and how well we did,” said Barry-Murphy.

“It’s a chance to get back on our home pitch and get a great sense of our surroundings, but also to show the supporters how we’ve progressed and how we plan to progress.

“It’s only a starting point for us and I’m sure the supporters will be very patient when they see the players and realise what they’re trying to do.

“There’s a very energetic group of guys here who are looking to produce some very exciting performances on our home turf and it’s a great chance to get started.

“It’s very important that our group of players are patient with each other, and I know the supporters will be the same, but it’s very exciting times and I would encourage everyone to be excited by it.”

Admission to Dale’s friendly against Huddersfield Town at the Crown Oil Arena (Wednesday 17th July, 7.45pm kick-off) is just £10 for adults, £5 for seniors (65+) and 21-and-unders, and £1 for 11-and-unders!
