After winning the Laureus Sporting Moment of the Month award in May, Joe Thompson is now in the running for their prestigious Sporting Moment of the Year award.
He needs your help to win the global award!
Joe was recognised for his return from battling cancer, for a second time, to appear for Dale at Wembley Stadium in Dale’s Emirates FA Cup fifth round replay against Tottenham Hotspur.
Now he is up against nine other monthly winners for the prestigious overall title of Laureus Sporting Moment of the Year 2018.
The award, voted for by sports fans around the world, is presented at the annual Laureus World Sports Awards, the most prestigious awards event on the international sporting calendar.
On winning the monthly award in May, Joe said: “Thank you so much to everyone for the incredible support which has helped me win the Laureus Sporting Moment public vote for May.
“I hope my story offered hope or a little inspiration to people out there. Being nominated for the Award was an honour but to win it is just incredible.
