Dale Trust holding fundraiser this Friday night (January 25th) in the Dale Bar to raise funds for new 5-a-side pitch and facilities…
Last year, the Dale in the Community Sports Trust received the fantastic news that funding had been granted towards a new 5-a-side pitch on the Crown Oil Arena car park.
This was extremely welcome news, because after more than 20-years of use, the current pitch is in dire need of repair and modernisation.
As well as a new state-of-the-art pitch, which includes a drainage system, the Community Office will be getting a refurb, along with the changing rooms in the Community building.
Once completed, the facility will continue to be used by the likes of the Community’s Futsal Teams, Ability Counts squad and Silver 60s, as well as for birthday parties and weekend clubs. In addition, the new facility will also be open to the Rochdale community, further supporting the club’s work within the local area.
The work will cost around £70,000, with 60% of the cost being provided via the funding from the Football Foundation.
After hearing about the shortfall, Dale Trust members last year unanimously voted in favour of backing the project and are holding their first fundraising event this Friday, to help raise funds towards the facility.
The Race Night will be held in the Dale Bar, starting at 7pm, and entry is free to all supporters. Under 18ss are welcome but only if accompanied by an adult.
Supporters can bet on the night on any horses, but if they wish, they can sponsor a horse or jockey ahead of the event by clicking HERE.
A buffet will also be provided.
