Rochdale Football Club are both proud and delighted to announce that Academy player Luke Matheson featured for England Under-17s on Thursday.
He started in their 3-2 victory over France at the Pinatar Arena in Spain.
Matheson is the second Rochdale player and Academy product to feature for England this season, after Dan Adshead’s call-up to the Under-18s in November.
The full-back became Dale’s youngster ever debutant in September 2018, when he appeared in the Checkatrade Trophy against Bury at the age of 15 years and 336 days.
The 16-year-old has been with the Club’s Academy since the age of nine.
