Get to know Jimmy Keohane…
- James Keohane was born 22nd January 1991 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
- Born in England, he moved to Ireland when he was just one-year-old and was raised there
- He prefers to be called, and is better known as, Jimmy. So, that’s what we’ll be calling him during his time at the Crown Oil Arena
- Having come through the youth ranks at Belvedere and Evergreen, he started his senior career at Wexford Youths in 2009
- He was capped by the Republic of Ireland U19 squad on five occasions
- He was part of the Cork City squad, along with Ryan Delaney, that won the League and Cup double in 2017
- He played in the Champions League and the Europa League with the Rebel Army
- Had things panned out differently for Jimmy, he might have ended up as a hurler. He hurled with Kilkenny’s under age teams before focusing on a career in football
- He’s been training with the squad over the last couple of weeks and has been living with Stephen Dooley
- Unlucky for some but hopefully not for Jimmy, he’ll wear squad number 13 during his time at the Club
