Robert Sánchez described Saturday’s 1-0 win over Rotherham United as “the best feeling ever”.
The goalkeeper played a key part in Dale’s clean sheet but was also keen to praise his teammates for their performances.
“Coming away from home, to keep a clean sheet and winning a game like today’s, I think it was unbelievable from every single player.
“No matter if we lose or win, we always do our best. We try to get better as a team and individually.
“Keeping the clean sheet, in a game like it was today, is the best feeling ever. I’m going home happy today!
“It feels unreal. Thank you to all the fans who came to the game.”
The Spaniard also reserved praise for Aaron Morley, whose strike proved to be the difference between the sides.
“It was an unbelievable goal. From where I was, it looked unreal. When the ball left his foot I knew it was in.
“I was already celebrating with everyone! He deserves it, he’s a great youngster.”
