Tuesday 3rd December marks International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2019, and to coincide with that, the EFL are once again holding its own EFL Day of Disabilities.
This year, Rochdale AFC are celebrating the partnership between itself and Redwood Secondary School, a pioneering special school based in the town.
Dale In The Community Trust have been working with Redwood for over 12 years, holding regular coaching sessions and workshops at the school.
Over recent months, a number of the school students have been working on Redwood’s Supported Internship Programme, carrying out several roles within different departments at the Football Club.
Those include working with the Community Trust, in the Club Shop, with the ground staff, maintenance staff and more.
We believe this programme is the first of its type at a professional Football Club, something all parties are extremely proud of.
Please watch the video at the top of this page, on iFollow freeview, to learn more about the programme and the fantastic work that Redwood Secondary School carry out.
