Rochdale Football Club are delighted to announce a record number of presents donated from our Crown Oil Arena pick-up point towards Hits Radio’s Cash for Kids Mission Christmas campaign.
This is in large part due to the charitable offerings by Dale’s main club sponsor Crown Oil, who brought in a helping more than triple the brilliant original number of parcels donated by people in the Rochdale area.
Mission Christmas was set up to try help underprivileged children in the Greater Manchester area to wake up with a present on Christmas morning.
Members of Rochdale Football Club, including Brian Barry-Murphy and his playing staff, recently went down to Mission Christmas’ warehouse in Stockport to help in the volunteering efforts during this busy festive period.
Dale’s Sales & Marketing Director said: “The response to our Mission Christmas Toy Appeal has been incredible.
“It’s a heart breaking fact that as many as one in three children will wake up without a Christmas present on Christmas morning so thank you to everybody, including our players, who have donated to this extremely worthy appeal.”
Staff from Crown Oil and Crown Energy also got involved with the campaign and delivered their donations to the Crown Oil Arena.

“We have been overwhelmed with the number of donations received by staff and Rochdale AFC supporters.”
