Rochdale AFC’s matchday programme – The Voice of Spotland – is back for Tuesday’s League One fixture against Sunderland.
The programme is once again a 76-page issue this season, containing plenty of reading to keep fans entertained and informed before, during and after the match.
Our new-look programme starts with a front cover image of midfielder Aaron Morley, who scored his first goal for the club in our last home league fixture versus Doncaster Rovers.
Manager Brian Barry-Murphy brings us his thoughts on the game and Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Shrewsbury, while we continue rounding-up the new clubs joined by former Dale players over the summer.
After that the programme is packed with new features, including:
MY TEAM-MATES – Matt Done spills the beans on his pals in the Dale squad
THINK OF A NUMBER – looking at facts, figures and connections between Dale and Sunderland
CLASSIC KITS – three strips worn by Sunderland down the years are analysed
WHATEVER HAPPENED TO? – a wistful feature looking at things that have disappeared from the game
ROOM 101 – Jim McNulty reveals the things that annoy him
BACK OF THE NET – a whole-season article focusing on the exploits of Dale’s top 25 goalscorers of all-time
We have a new-look visitors’ section, with this issue containing an exclusive interview with ex-Dale manager and Sunderland striker Vic Halom.
Most former contributors have returned for another season, while our regular historical pages – ‘On This Day’ and ‘Through The Years’ – have had a makeover and an extension that will help readers to jog their Dale memory banks.
Action photos appear from the pre-season games against Ramsbottom and Bradford, while Traveller’s Tales is back with a report on that friendly trip to ‘Rammy’.
All this and much, much more will be in Tuesday’s The Voice of Spotland, on sale in the Club Shop and around the ground, priced £3.00.
