Preview | Bolton Wanderers (H) - Carabao Cup Round One

13 August 2019

Rochdale v Bolton Wanderers | Crown Oil Arena, Carabao Cup Round One, Tuesday 13th August 2019, 7.45pm Kick-Off

Focus turns to cup action on Tuesday night, as Dale welcome Bolton Wanderers in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

A win and a draw from the first two league games see Dale occupy a playoff spot in the very early days of the Sky Bet League One table.

Bolton, fielding their youngest ever side on Saturday with an average age of under 19, earned a valiant point at home to Coventry City.

Brian Barry-Murphy says his players will be giving it everything against a local rival on Tuesday night.

Should the scores be level after 90 minutes, the tie will head straight to a penalty shootout. There will be no extra time.

The original format for penalty shootouts remains in place, as it was last season, rather than the ‘ABBA’ format which was in place before that.

Admission prices for Tuesday night’s game have been reduced from normal league prices.

Tickets are available to purchase in advance online at up until 3pm on matchday.

Supporters can also pay cash through the turnstiles on the night. Prices are the same whether bought in advance or purchase on the night.
