We're giving Year 2 and Year 4 pupils across the Rochdale Borough the opportunity to play on the Crown Oil Arena pitch!
The Rochdale AFC Schools Cup, organised by the Rochdale Academy and Dale In The Community Sports Trust, returns for a fourth consecutive year on Tuesday 7th May.
The football festival is FREE of charge and gives local children the chance to say “I played at the Crown Oil Arena”!
Teams of boys and girls will take part in a six-a-side tournament, with all players receiving a medal and a Rochdale AFC goodie bag.
The tournament also gives staff the opportunity to spot the most talented footballers in Rochdale, as well as promoting the Club’s community ethos and educational and physical activity pathways.
Last year, nearly 300 children from Primary Schools across the Borough took part in the event.
This year's Schools Cup takes place on Tuesday 7th May, with the Year 2 tournament at 10am-12pm, and the Year 4 tournament at 1pm-3pm.
An email with accompanying letter has been sent to every Primary School in the Borough, containing full details of the event. This may have been sent to your school’s main office, so please check with them.
For more information, or to book your school’s place in the event, please contact our Academy Secretary Sarah Ashton at sarah.ashton@rochdaleafc.co.uk.
Cut off for entries is Friday 3rd May.
