Club Attend Opening Of Joshua McCormack Friendship Garden

8 April 2019

It was an honour to be invited to the opening of 'Joshua's Friendship Garden' at St John with St Michael Primary on Monday afternoon.

Callum Camps & Matty Done, along with the Dale in the Community Sports Trust’s Siobhan McElhinney, the Media Team and Desmond the Dragon, went along to represent the Club, as we remembered our number 55, Joshua McCormack.

Children at St John with St Michael Primary, the school where our little friend attended, have worked incredibly hard to transform the area in the playground into a wonderful garden full of Joshua's favourite things, including Rochdale AFC memorabilia, superheroes and Buzz Lightyear.

Callum and Matty helped Joshua’s Mum and Dad, Nicola and Kevin, officially open the garden by cutting the blue ribbon, before releasing balloons into the sky.

The whole school was in attendance at the event, with the youngsters dressed in Toy Story and superhero outfits.

A lovely afternoon to remember a wonderful boy.
