Dale’s previous visit to Bristol Rovers on an Easter Monday proved to be a memorable one.
It came in the 2013/14 season, with Dale fighting for automatic promotion in the final three games of the season.
Kicking off before other teams in the promotion chase, Dale knew that a win would be a huge step in achieving a top-three finish.
However, Dale went behind after 17 minutes from a Kaid Mohamed effort and were trailing at the break.
An inspired second-half performance turned the game around though, with goals from Joe Bunney and Matty Lund keeping Dale three points clear of fourth placed Fleetwood Town.
A win over Cheltenham in Dale’s next game, coupled with Fleetwood dropping points, saw Dale promoted back to League One.
