Rochdale AFC’s first ever Macmillan Coffee Day held at the Crown Oil Arena proved to be a huge success!
Dale In The Community Trust’s Dale’s Silver 60s group held the event on Wednesday afternoon, raising almost £200 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Dale first team squad and management attended, donating to the cause and enjoying cups of coffee and a chat with the Silver 60s.
Cakes and biscuits were donated by those who attended, as well as a number of prizes for a raffle, which were all won by members from Dale’s Silver 60s!
Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee morning took place on Friday 28th September, with all donations to the Coffee Day at the club going to Macmillan.
Dale’s Silver 60s is open to senior citizens in the Rochdale borough, with activities such as walking football/netball, mat bowls, cards and they are always looking to welcome new members.
The group takes place between 1pm-3pm every Wednesday with free transport available to those wishing to attend as well as refreshments throughout the day.
