The club receive a thank you from the Children's Macmillan team...
As you may remember, we were pleased to issue the Dale Community Season Tickets to the Children’s Macmillan Team for our final home game of the 2017/18 campaign.
Three families used the ten season tickets, which were purchased by the Board of Directors to help the club strengthen relationships with various community groups across the Rochdale Borough.
All the families who attended have a child that is currently receiving treatment for a childhood cancer, and it was hoped that by coming to the game, it would allow those families to take their minds off matters for a few hours at least.
This week, we were pleased to receive a lovely hand-made thank you card and a follow up note from the Macmillan Team and the children who attended. We’re delighted to see that their visit to the Crown Oil Arena has had such a positive impact.
The note read: “Thank you so much for the tickets. The families had a great time. One of the children, who has difficulty with speech, has not stopped talking about Rochdale Football Club since his visit. Thank you again, much appreciated.”
Everyone at the club sends all three children well-wishes as they continue their treatment.
