PDP Lead Coach Chris Brown spoke to iFollow after the Youth Team’s 2-1 win over Wrexham on Saturday.
“Overall, I think we were good in the first-half – we scored two really good goals – but in the second-half we stopped doing what we needed to be doing in terms of keeping possession.
“We probably should have been out of sight in the second-half, but a win is a win.
“The last few minutes were a little bit tetchy, because they scored a really good goal.
“I was really impressed with how they hung in there and stuck to task mentally, but football-wise we didn’t do enough in the second-half.
“The possession and the type of football we want to play wasn’t where it needed to be, hence why we caused ourselves a few problems.
“Florent [Hoti], his objective, from me, is to score more from midfield and he scored a good goal today, and it was a good team goal from Fabio [Tavares].
“Hopefully we can move onto the next one and get a better performance for the full 90 minutes rather than 45.”
