FREEVIEW | Dale Helping To Tackle Mental Health Issues

22 March 2018

As part of Tuesday's EFL Day Of Action, coaches from Dale In The Community Sports Trust led a session attended by members of the Get Set To Go football group.

They come from the charity Rochdale Mind, who provide mental health services to people in the Rochdale Borough.

Those who attend the weekly football sessions all suffer from mental health issues, one of whom is Tom Morris.

He is a sufferer of schizophrenia, and has been attending the sessions for over two years.

“I find football takes the edge off my metal health," said Tom.

"Mixing with people who have the same sorts of issues and difficulties, and Get Set To Go and Rochdale Football Club have helped me with that over the past ten years.”
