BARNSLEY

The Tykes return to the third tier after a two-year absence in the Championship, having won just three of their final 14 games. They appointed new manager Daniel Stendel earlier this month.

BURTON ALBION
Last Campaign | 23rd (Sky Bet Championship – Relegated)
The Brewers exceeded all expectations by winning promotion to the Championship two years ago, and went one better by surviving the drop in their first year, before agonisingly suffering relegation on the final day of their last campaign.

COVENTRY CITY
Last Campaign | 6th (Sky Bet League Two – Promoted via playoffs)
The Sky Blues achieved promotion back to the third tier of English football at the first attempt, beating Exeter City 3-1 in the League Two playoff final after finishing the regular season in sixth.

LUTON TOWN

The Hatters’ 8-2 victory over Yeovil Town on the opening day of last season set the tone for a successful season, and they secured promotion to League One with a 3-1 win over ? on the penultimate weekend of the season.

SUNDERLAND
