Rochdale Football Club is delighted to announce the loan signing of striker Stephen Humphrys from Fulham.
The 20-year-old joins the club until the end of the season, and is eager to get started.
“I want to come in and score goals, get assists and play well,” said Humphrys.
“I want to help the team as much as I can. That’s what I’ve discussed with the manager, and that’s what I’m going to try and do.
“The manager was interested in me in the summer, but unfortunately, we couldn’t get it done then.
“He’s kept his interest in me and I’ve had a lot of conversations with him and Brian Barry-Murphy, and they convinced me that this is the club to be at, at the minute.”
Humphrys, a prolific goalscorer at various age groups for Fulham, joined the Championship club from Bury at the beginning of the 2013/14 season as a 15-year-old.
He signed a contract extension at Craven Cottage last January, before joining Shrewsbury Town on loan until the end of last season, scoring twice as he helped them retain their League One status.
Humphrys will wear squad number 7 during his time at the club.
Welcome to the Crown Oil Arena, Stephen!
