Manager Keith Hill has thanked fans for their “magnificent” support at Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup third round tie against Doncaster Rovers.
The 574 Dale fans who made the trip to the Keepmoat Stadium sang their hearts for the full game and it certainly didn’t go unnoticed by the Gaffer.
“Their support was amazing – I thought they were magnificent,” he told iFollow.
“It’s easy to support someone when everything is going well but they’re supporting me now in hard times. At most football clubs, fans would fight me and they’d want me out.
“They were warm towards me and the team throughout, and I feel humbled with respect to the way that they treated me today.
“I saw a unity there and that can be special when there’s a unit going forward together, regardless of the adversity.
“I feel warm today, not just about the performance, but also the support I got from the fans. They were brilliant, superb, magnificent.”
