Get to know new Dale man Billy Knott, who has joined on loan from Lincoln City until the end of the season…
1. The 25-year-old was born in Canvey Island, Essex.
2. After progressing through the youth ranks at West Ham United and Chelsea, Knott joined Sunderland in 2010.
3. He made his Premier League debut for the Black Cats in May 2013 away to Tottenham Hotspur, whilst his professional debut came previously in January 2012 for AFC Wimbledon.
4. He started every game in Bradford City’s run to the FA Cup quarter-finals in 2014/15, including their 4-2 victory at Chelsea in the fourth round.
5. Helped Lincoln City achieve promotion back to the Football League last season, making 13 appearances on loan from Gillingham.
6. Knott had a trial at giants Real Madrid as a youngster, when his family relocated to Spain for a short period.
