Ahead of Wednesday night’s game with MK Dons at the Crown Oil Arena, we take a look back at a previous encounter between the sides…
Dale’s last victory over The Dons at home came in September 2007, in the Centenary season.
The promotion favourites took an early lead through Kevin Gallen after 16 minutes, before Chris Dagnall levelled matters shortly after.
However, Gallen instantly restored the visitors’ lead, and that looked to be enough heading into added time in the second period.
But Dale had other plans up their sleeve.
Adam Le Fondre equalised in the final minute of the 90, before Dagnall’s second secured a dramatic victory for Keith Hill’s side, their first of a season which would end at Wembley in the League Two playoff final.
