First-year scholar Morgan Piper has joined Wythenshawe Town on a work experience loan.
The young goalkeeper joins the Hallmark Security League First Division South side for one month, with an option available to extend the deal.
He goes straight into the squad for their home match against FC Oswestry Town on Saturday.
Piper, who has been with Dale since he was 11, has featured in all three of this season’s FA Youth Cup ties.
He kept clean sheets in first and second round wins over Doncaster Rovers and MK Dons respectively, before Dale were cruelly knocked out in extra time of the third round at Queens Park Rangers.
