Rochdale return to the Crown Oil Arena on Saturday, as Portsmouth are the visitors in Sky Bet League One.
Back-to-back wins for Keith Hill’s men have moved them to within one point of safety, and with a number of games in hand on teams around them.
Pompey currently sit just outside the playoff places, with four wins in a row pushing them up the table.
They were impressive 2-1 winners over Wigan Athletic on Easter Monday, thanks to goals from Brett Pitman and Jamal Lowe.
The two sides met on the opening day of the season, when Portsmouth ran 2-0 winners over a Dale side that were reduced to ten men early on, as Keith Keane saw red.
