We Go Again On Tuesday - Keith Hill

22 April 2018

Manager Keith Hill has spoken of the importance of moving on quickly from Saturday's game against Bradford City.

Rochdale were dealt a blow after conceding in stoppage time against the Bantams, but with Plymouth Argyle the visitors to the Crown Oil Arena on Tuesday night, he'll look to pick the players back up to go again.

He commented: “I was disappointed with the score line on Tuesday against Oldham but the players were reasonably happy because it didn’t separate us any further from Oldham, Walsall and/ or AFC Wimbledon, and it’s the same again today (Saturday), so we’re in the same position as we were.

“I think we’ve been in the bottom four since the 20th game, so I’m methodically hoping that we can get out of the situation that we’re in. But I don’t try to look too far in front into the future, I just try to deal with the right here, right now.

“I personally feel that we’ve got to embrace it. There should be no fear, no embarrassment or no if only, so we go again on Tuesday.

“We have to pick the players up because they’ve hit the deck. I hope they get up because they know there’s three games left.

“On Tuesday night against Plymouth, it’s another pressure game for us and for them, and we’ve got to be brave. We’ve got to enjoy the rollercoaster and we’ve got to try smile through it, at times, with gritted.

“The majority of the players are accepting the challenges but it’s difficult, so you’ve got to suck it up, smile, wake up the next day and continue to work hard.”
